Welcome to our new blog. We are Democratic Party of Henderson County, North Carolina. Henderson County is located among the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in the western part of the State. Our area has been strongly Republican … until now. We are beginning to put the Democratic Party on the map in a very real way in western North Carolina. For too long the people of Henderson County have not been listened to, and have not received the representation they deserve. That is beginning to change, as Democrats take over role of leadership at the local and state level. We are proud to be in the 11th Congressional District of North Carolina, and to benefit from the strong leadership of our Democratic congressman, Heath Shuler.
Right now, we are consoidating after the wonderful result of the 2008 Election, and we are not letting our guard down. The Democrats may have taken the White House, but there is still a lot of work to be done, even here in western North Carolina. We invite you to get involved – donate or volunteer.
